At the time, seventy years ago, it was considered completely normal to park a submarine on a San Francisco beach. Seven decades later, the photograph takes on new meaning. What once felt casual now reads as symbolic. It reflects an era when environmental consequences were rarely considered and human intervention in nature was unquestioned. In the top sky section you can spot at least 4 faces.
