Yellow Sun on the River Flood Plain LTD Print

Sometimes light doesn’t just illuminate—it insists. This was one of those days. The sun came in low and golden yellow, like it had something to prove. It landed on the flood plain like a final word. No argument. Just presence.

This piece captures that stubborn kind of beauty—the kind that doesn’t apologize for being bright when the world is still thawing out. The river hadn’t quite let go of its winter shell yet, but the light had already moved on. That contrast—the heavy stillness of the ice against the urgency of spring—was irresistible. Like the moment you realize something in your life has shifted, even if nothing’s technically changed.

This one’s for the collector who knows light can be a kind of truth-telling. Best hung where it can catch the real sun—morning or late afternoon is ideal. Let it interrupt you.

Floats the Metal LTD Print 3/4 inch off the wall when hung.

Printed directly onto a mid-gloss aluminum panel, this limited-edition artwork arrives ready to hang with a discreet 3/4-inch inset mount that lets it float slightly away from the wall. There is no frame, glass, or matting needed, so you get rich colour, no distracting reflections, and a clean contemporary finish. The surface catches light beautifully as you move past it, especially in the water and shifting sky.

Ready for hanging without a frame.
