Work from home and lockdowns during the pandemic have resulted in some unusual living arrangements. For some it was a solitary, lonely, experience. For others a strained household dynamic with the same people 24/7. Even if you were bunking with Gandhi 24/7, after a while, the dude might just stab you. I think we require a variety of social interactions over the long term. Just the two of us is nice, but not necessarily 24/7 for the long term. In this work two figures in profile, one on the left the other on the right, are interacting with each other through a complicated space with many abstract elements. Done in 2018 to 2024. Acrylic on canvas. Comes with custom pine floating frame decorated with maps of the City of Ottawa.
US and Canadian crating and shipping of full sized painting, stretched, or stretched with frame is extra $1,000.
