"Looming Spring Storm on Lac Rheaume" captures the moment just before a spring storm descends upon the lake from the north east. The scene is filled with an intense, anticipatory energy as the approaching storm gathers over the treetops. The towering evergreens stand resilient, their deep green tones contrasting with the darker, swirling sky above. The rocky shoreline, partially illuminated by the fading light, adds a sense of grounding amidst the impending chaos. The hints of sunlight that still filter through the clouds provide a fleeting sense of warmth, soon to be overtaken by the storm. The complex layers of texture evoke the turbulence of nature, suggesting the merging of water, wind, and forest into one dramatic, evolving moment. This piece invites the viewer to experience the raw power and beauty of nature, balanced on the edge of transformation.
Done in 2024. Ready for hanging.
