Overcoming Adversity

When adversity comes, sometimes you just have to flip it the bird. In this painting the lady is facing adversity in the form of a red winged black bird. She faces and deals with the bird, with courage and determination, and flips it the bird with her left hand in the form of an origami like caricature of a bird. The painting has roots in a painting from 20 years ago. If you look closely there is face of a dog in the window. Done in 2022-23. The dots are all the adversity we have overcome.

Free shipping in tube with gallery 1.5” stretcher bars. Painting is easy to assemble and stretch with a Robertson screwdriver and staple gun.
